A few days ago we reported that LG has finally decided to provide ICS update for their LG Optimus Black, confirmed by the sticker on the box of the smartphone, you can read the post here. The news picked up a lot of steam and everyone started asking for the authenticity of the image. We decided to record a video of the packaging for our readers and paid a visit to the same retailer again. But it seems that the packaging was just a marketing ploy not by LG but by the retailer himself.
The retailer revealed this dirty little secret of his when we told them about our intentions. This news is set to cause heartbreaks and anger all over the world as many of us had got their hopes high seeing the packaging. Now it seems that the Korean giant is fixed on their decision of not releasing an ICS update for LG Optimus Black. On talking with a few more retailers we found out that LG never did release any such packages.
